Some of our projects are provided directly to large organizations, associations, and private companies. We are proud to share some examples of these projects (past and present).    

ACCENT

LearnSphere’s ACCENT™ program helps organizations serve their clients in French and English. Through ACCENT™ we offer customized learning options to help organizations meet their individual needs. This may include a combination of components such as web-based tools, in-house interactive learning, asynchronous self-study modules, and post-training consulting and support. 

Here are some examples of customized versions of this program we have offered to a variety of partners: 

ACCENT™ for SMEs 

2011-2012

This was the original version of our ACCENT™ program. Developed for New Brunswick small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the program provided opportunities to enhance and improve services in both official languages, helping SMEs position their businesses for greater success in a bilingual market. 

ACCENT™ for Nova Scotia Works Employment Services Centres 

2017-2018

LearnSphere’s ACCENT™ program helped 18 Employment Service Centres across Nova Scotia enhance improve their customer service. In this program, we offered practical learning opportunities for managers and employees, as well as post-training support. As a legacy component of the project, the employment centres continue to have exclusive access to a wealth of online resources. 

ACCENT™ for Horizon Health Network

Since 2019, ongoing

LearnSphere developed and delivered a series of live ACCENT™ learning sessions for Horizon Health Network managers and people-leaders in 2019. Delivered live online to over 500 people in 2020-2023, the program received positive ratings, despite the challenges faced in the health care setting during that time due to the pandemic. As a legacy component, LearnSphere then created a self-study version that continues to be offered to Horizon managers and team leads.  

TNPS for Nova Scotia Home Support Agencies

2019-2020

LearnSphere empowers and strengthens non-profit organizations through affordable, accessible and practical learning and consulting opportunities on issues that matter most to non-profit organizations. Our program strengthens the management and governance capacity of non-profit organizations. 

We provided customized capacity-building for NS Home Support Agencies, administering an organizational assessment and follow-up action plan to ten home support agencies around Nova Scotia. The agencies were then provided with up to five days of coaching and consulting to implement components of their respective action plans. All agencies were also provided a governance toolkit. 

Empower Your Board 

Since 2023, ongoing 

In partnership with Military Family Services, a division of Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services, LearnSphere is enhancing governance skills among executive directors and volunteer board members of Canada's thirty Military Family Resource Centres. Our program, “Empower Your Board,” includes asynchronous learning modules on essential governance concepts, complemented by group coaching sessions. These successful sessions foster expertise and collaboration through discussions with our subject matter experts and peers.  

Addressing Workplace Sexual Harassment

Since 2019, ongoing

LearnSphere worked with the Public Legal Education and Information Service of NB (PLEIS-NB) over a five-year period, to help them develop and deliver learning aimed at reducing workplace sexual harassment. Acting as a learning and development body for PLEIS-NB, LearnSphere conducted background research, undertook consultations with stakeholders, and created learning programs for employers and employees across New Brunswick. We continue to deliver this training, in both live format and through self-paced learning modules. https://saferplacesnb.ca/

ExportNB Portal 

2017-2018

LearnSphere developed a web portal to serve the needs of New Brunswick’s exporting community. The portal is a one-stop gateway through which exporters, potential and current, as well as organizations and professionals who support the expansion of NB exports, can easily access resources, information, tools, events and communities of peers to help grow NB’s export footprint.

 

Ecommerce Master Class 

2020-2021

Through this pan-Atlantic initiative, LearnSphere delivered an 8-module online curriculum designed to help participating small and medium enterprises acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and support to develop and implement their own eCommerce roadmap thus improving their competitiveness and performance. 

Women’s Leadership Retreats 

Since 2023, ongoing

LearnSphere has developed an intimate two-day retreat for women leaders in the defence sector supply chain. The experience goes beyond traditional training: in addition to workshops and inspirational speakers, participants receive leadership coaching, and experience meaningful peer-to-peer learning and network building.

Strategic Workforce Planning 

2018-2019

LearnSphere’s Strategic Workforce Planning initiative aims to improve employers’ capacity to identify and address their workforce planning needs, and to consider hiring from a diverse pool of candidates, including immigrants, to meet their workforce needs, now and in the future.

 

Knowledge Transfer Program 

Since 2023, ongoing

Funded through the Atlantic Fisheries Fund, this funding program is designed for the holistic fisheries sector. It is intended to help applicants seek outside technical and operational expertise in order to effectively and strategically inform future investment decisions.

International Development 

Formation professionnelle en technologies de l’information et de la communication (FPTIC) 

2007-2012

In this five-year international development project we worked with a vocational training centre in Yaoundé, Cameroon to help them build business management skills among their employees. The project aimed to ensure the employees were qualified, competent, and well-equipped to respond effectively to the needs of the labour market and government in the information and communication technologies (ICT) field and improve self-sufficiency for the centre.

Soutien à l’acquisition de compétences en technologies de l’information et de la communication (SACTIC)

2003-2008

This five-year initiative was aimed at building capacity around information and communication technologies (ICT) within a private educational institution in Douala, Cameroon.  Working with an implementation partner, the Collège communautaire de Nouveau-Brunswick, the program focused on training and job matching. The goal was to create an ICT-qualified workforce with skills adapted to the local context. . 

Toile Scolaire Francophone 

1999-2001

Through this initiative, LearnSphere contributed to growth in the information and communication technologies (ICT) field in Africa by creating internship opportunities in Community Access Centres. Canadian young professionals working in these internships trained local youth, teachers, and facilitators in the use of information technology, communication, and the internet. 

Youth International Internships

1998 and 2000

LearnSphere supported over 175 young professionals in internships across Francophone Africa, Vietnam and the Caribbean.
