Leadership, Governance and Workplace Culture
Governance Support for Canada's Military Family Resource Centres
Empower Your Board
Since 2023, ongoing
LearnSphere is partnering with Military Family Services, a division of Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services, to strengthen governance skills across Canada's thirty Military Family Resource Centres (MFRCs). Our program, Empower Your Board, equips MFRC volunteer board members and staff (executive directors) with practical governance expertise through a blend of asynchronous learning modules, live training, and personalized advice from a governance expert. Participants leave these sessions with more than new skills; they gain access to subject matter experts they can lean on as they navigate the real challenges of board leadership.
Empowering Women Leaders
Women’s Leadership Retreats

LearnSphere has developed an intimate two-day retreat for women leaders in the defence sector supply chain. The experience goes beyond traditional training: in addition to workshops and inspirational speakers, participants receive leadership coaching, and experience meaningful peer-to-peer learning and network building.
LearnSphere empowers and strengthens non-profit organizations through affordable, accessible and practical learning and consulting opportunities on the issues that matter most to them, building management and governance capacity across the sector. Through this program, we delivered capacity-building ten home support agencies across Nova Scotia, starting with an organizational assessment and follow-up action plan for each. Agencies then received up to five days of coaching and consulting to help them implement their plans, as well as a governance toolkit.
Reducing Workplace Sexual Harassment

LearnSphere partnered with the Public Legal Education and Information Service of NB (PLEIS-NB) over a five-year period, to develop and deliver learning aimed at reducing workplace sexual harassment. Acting as PLEIS-NB’s learning and development partner, LearnSphere conducted background research, consulted with stakeholders, and built learning programs for employers and employees across New Brunswick. We continue to deliver this training today, both live and through self-paced learning modules.

Funded by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness, 2026, this learning program addresses the specific needs and opportunities facing food and beverage companies selling to the retail sector. The Sell Successfully to Retail learning content and tools were created by experts from both the supplier and buyer side of the retail supply chain.
National Research Council’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP)

Funded by the National Research Council's Industrial Research Assistance Program, this pilot delivered learning and coaching to select Canadian food and beverage SMEs, helping them build the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to grow retail sales and strengthen their business processes.

Through this pan-Atlantic initiative, LearnSphere delivered an 8-module online curriculum to help SMEs build the knowledge, skills and support needed to develop their own eCommerce roadmap, improving their competitiveness and performance.
Creating a Roadmap for NB Exporters

LearnSphere developed a web portal to serve the needs of New Brunswick’s exporting community. The portal served as a one-stop gateway where existing and potential exporters, along with the organizations and professionals who support them, could access resources, information, tools, events and peer communities to help grow NB’s export footprint.
This program helps small and medium-sized tourism enterprises (SMEs) across Atlantic Canada make strategic investments to upgrade their operations, enhance guest experiences, and attract highly engaged visitors. Funded by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), the pilot is available by referral only to tourism businesses of all kinds, including accommodations, adventure and cultural tourism operators, and providers of unique dining experiences.

LearnSphere's Accent Program
ACCENT™ for Horizon Health Network
Since 2019, ongoing
Since 2019, LearnSphere has delivered its ACCENT™ program to Horizon Health Network, building customized learning solutions to help managers and people-leaders better serve clients in both official languages through Active Offer. Starting with live interactive sessions, the program reached over 500 participants between 2020 and 2023, earning positive ratings despite the challenges facing health care during the pandemic. LearnSphere subsequently developed a self-study version, which continues to be offered to Horizon managers and team leads today.

LearnSphere's ACCENT™ program supported 18 Employment Service Centres across Nova Scotia in improving their capacity to serve clients in both official languages through Active Offer. The program combined practical learning for managers and employees with post-training support. As a lasting legacy, the employment centres continue to have exclusive access to a suite of online resources.

Funded through the Atlantic Fisheries Fund, this funding program is designed for the holistic fisheries sector. It is intended to help applicants seek outside technical and operational expertise in order to effectively and strategically inform future investment decisions.

Building business management skills in Cameroon

In this five-year international development project we worked with a vocational training centre in Yaoundé, Cameroon to help them build business management skills among their employees. The project aimed to ensure the employees were qualified, competent, and well-equipped to respond effectively to the needs of the labour market and government in the information and communication technologies (ICT) field and achieve self-sufficiency for the centre.

Working with an implementation partner, the Collège communautaire de Nouveau-Brunswick, the program focused on training and job matching. The goal was to create an ICT-qualified workforce with skills adapted to the local context. .

Through this initiative, LearnSphere contributed to growth in the information and communication technologies (ICT) field in Africa by creating internship opportunities in Community Access Centres. Canadian young professionals working in these internships trained local youth, teachers, and facilitators in the use of information technology, communication, and the internet.
