Practical Tools for Better Meetings
Meetings are where teams solve problems, make decisions and move work forward. Too often, people leave with different interpretations of what was decided, who is responsible or what happens next.
Better Meetings is a practical, hands-on workshop that introduces simple visual-thinking and facilitation techniques to make conversations, ideas, decisions and next steps more visible. Participants will learn how to structure discussions, capture group thinking, identify areas of agreement or uncertainty, and turn conversation into clear action.
No drawing ability is required. The focus is on using simple words, shapes, symbols and structures to improve clarity, participation and shared understanding.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify meeting practices that contribute to unclear decisions and weak follow-through.Use simple visual structures to organize and capture group conversations.
- Make ideas, decisions, responsibilities and next steps visible.
- Identify connections, priorities and areas requiring further discussion.
- Use a practical framework to move from discussion to clear action.
- Select at least one technique to apply in their own meetings.
