Martin Haynes

Mar­tin Haynes is Chief Strat­e­gy Offi­cer with Medavie. As such, he has over­all respon­si­bil­i­ty for strat­e­gy and per­for­mance man­age­ment, gov­ern­ment rela­tions, and growth ini­tia­tives. In his over twen­ty-five years with Medavie, he has held a num­ber of senior posi­tions with­in the orga­ni­za­tion, includ­ing, Cor­po­rate Sec­re­tary, Chief Cor­po­rate Affairs Offi­cer, Vice-Pres­i­dent, Cor­po­rate Ser­vices and Vice-Pres­i­dent, Orga­ni­za­tion­al Development. 

Mr. Haynes began his career with Kid­sons Char­tered Accoun­tants in the UK, where he obtained his des­ig­na­tion as a char­tered accoun­tant in 1981, fol­low­ing which he immi­grat­ed to Cana­da. From 1982 to 1994, he worked with The Coop­ers & Lybrand Con­sult­ing Group, where he held pro­gres­sive­ly senior roles includ­ing Part­ner in the man­age­ment con­sult­ing prac­tice. In 1994, he estab­lished a con­sult­ing prac­tice to pro­vide strate­gic and finan­cial advi­so­ry ser­vices to clients at an exec­u­tive lev­el until he joined Medavie Blue Cross in 1995

He is a Mem­ber of the Insti­tutes of Char­tered Accoun­tants of New Brunswick and Nova Sco­tia and a Fel­low of the Insti­tute of Char­tered Accoun­tants in Eng­land and Wales. He is active in indus­try and com­mu­ni­ty busi­ness and pub­lic ser­vice orga­ni­za­tions and is imme­di­ate past Chair of 3+ Eco­nom­ic Devel­op­ment Orga­ni­za­tion, the eco­nom­ic devel­op­ment agency for the Greater Monc­ton area. 

I joined the board of Learn­Sphere because I see the val­ue the orga­ni­za­tion brings in devel­op­ing the capac­i­ty of the many orga­ni­za­tions and com­pa­nies it works with. I view my role as bring­ing guid­ance to the orga­ni­za­tion through my board expe­ri­ence work­ing with gov­ern­ment and pri­vate sec­tor orga­ni­za­tions in transformation.”
