Social Enterprise

A social enter­prise is a busi­ness with social goals that sells products/​services in the mar­ket­place and rein­vests its prof­its into social, envi­ron­men­tal or cul­tur­al goals. This course is geared to any­one inter­est­ed in learn­ing more about how the social enter­prise mod­el can meet their goals. Par­tic­i­pants will come away with a deep­er under­stand­ing of what a social enter­prise is and:

  • Learn about the oppor­tu­ni­ties for social enterprise
  • Bet­ter under­stand the risks and challenges 
  • Gain tools to help assess if social enter­prise will work for your busi­ness idea
  • Learn about the var­i­ous struc­tures of social enterprise
  • Find out about resources to sup­port social enter­prise in New Brunswick and beyond
