Lori-Ann Cyr is CEO and Co-founder of Diver­sis Inc., a con­sult­ing firm spe­cial­iz­ing in cul­tur­al diver­si­ty and immi­gra­tion man­age­ment. As an instruc­tor and project man­ag­er, she notably taught at Amer­i­can uni­ver­si­ties in the field of mul­ti­cul­tur­al edu­ca­tion, trained groups of young inter­na­tion­al interns and assist­ed sev­er­al gov­ern­ments as well as pri­vate and pub­lic orga­ni­za­tions in the realm of man­age­ment of immi­gra­tion and cul­tur­al diver­si­ty. Lori-Ann has trav­eled on busi­ness to over 25 dif­fer­ent coun­tries. She has been involved in immi­gra­tion for over 20 years. Over the years, she has spe­cial­ized in eco­nom­ic immi­gra­tion, the region­al­iza­tion of immi­gra­tion, Fran­coph­o­ne immi­gra­tion in a minor­i­ty set­ting and in pro­vid­ing inter­cul­tur­al train­ing. In 2005, Lori-Ann was select­ed as one of the 21 Young Lead­ers for the 21st Cen­tu­ry in New Brunswick and was rec­og­nized as one of the five most pro­gres­sive entre­pre­neurs in Atlantic Cana­da by the busi­ness mag­a­zine Pro­grès. In 2011, her com­pa­ny Diver­sis received the Inno­va­tion Award from the Gov­ern­ment of New Brunswick. In 2012, she was award­ed the title of Woman Entre­pre­neur of the Year” in her region. Lori-Ann is a moth­er of two and step­moth­er of four. She holds a Bach­e­lor’s degree in edu­ca­tion and a Mas­ter of Arts in Teach­ing French from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Maine. Addi­tion­al­ly, she is an immi­gra­tion con­sul­tant rec­og­nized by the Col­lege of Cana­di­an Immi­gra­tion and Cit­i­zen­ship Con­sul­tants of Cana­da and is a found­ing mem­ber of 21inc., sit­ting on var­i­ous com­mit­tees with­in her com­mu­ni­ty, includ­ing the Uni­ver­si­ty of Maine Board of Vis­i­tors at Fort Kent. She also chaired the Con­seil Économique du Nou­veau-Brunswick (CÉNB) and sat on the Board of Gov­er­nors of the Uni­ver­sité de Moncton.
