LearnSphere’s Supply Chain 1-2-3 Program Expanding Across Canada

Laura Maynard Laura Maynard Senior Project Manager

LearnSphere is pleased to announce the renewal and expansion of our Supply Chain 1-2-3 program aimed at growth-oriented small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Designed to help SMEs learn how to sell into large, complex supply chains, the program has already received high praise from participants in British Columbia, Quebec and the four Atlantic provinces.  LearnSphere is expanding the program to the rest of Canada, including the Territories.

The program, built with expert input and insights from top-tier supply chain buyers, gives businesses the skills and tools to become a trusted supplier in specific sectors.

Current sectors of focus include Defence, Ocean Tech, and Food and Beverage, but additional content and new sectors will be introduced under the expansion.  LearnSphere will also focus on increasing participation among businesses led by equity deserving groups including women, Indigenous people, newcomers, and others.

“At LearnSphere we exist to help businesses prosper; building their capacity with relevant skills, knowledge and tools. Other programs offer supply chain management training, but very few programs help prepare SMEs to sell into supply chains, and even fewer programs provide sector-specific content delivered by experts and actual buyers.”  ~ Annette Comeau, LearnSphere CEO

Supply Chain 1-2-3 is delivered via facilitated online workshops and customized one-on-one coaching over a period of 4 weeks, and the program concludes with the very popular Meet the Buyer experience, where businesses get the opportunity to meet directly with buyers in their sector.

“The energy of the instructors, the many discussions among participants, as well as the generosity and openness shown by everyone involved, all contributed to making the workshops an undeniable success. Over the course of the program, all participating firms have gained valuable insights that will help them achieve business success.” ~ Pierre Drapeau, Vice President and spokesperson for Chantier Davie Canada Suppliers Association.

The renewed program kicked-off in February with a sold-out cohort of Atlantic Canada SMEs aiming to grow their sales in the Defence & Ocean Tech sector.  The following new programs starting in March are now open for registration:

  • Quebec companies looking to sell successfully to the Defence and Ocean Tech sector
  • Atlantic Canada companies looking to sell successfully to Food and Beverage retailers
