
George Pérusse
George Pérusse became a member of the New Brunswick Judiciary at age 27. He retired on April 30, 2012 after a 35 year career on the bench. As a member of the judiciary, he held various positions with the Provincial Court Judges Association of New Brunswick, namely education chairman, secretary-treasurer and president. For a number of years he also served at the national level as education chair Atlantic with the Canadian Association of Provincial Court Judges. For 14 years he was a member of the New Brunswick Judicial Council.
M. Pérusse was the instigator of a charitable Foundation (Les Oeuvres de L’Hotel-Dieu de St-Basile) with the objective of raising one million dollars over 3 years.
He has over the past 20 years developed an interest in plein-air painting. As a landscape artist he is always inspired by nature wherever he travels.
M. Pérusse is fully bilingual, he holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from St Francis-Xavier University.
