Since 1998, LearnSphere has been exporting training resources to different parts of the world through international development work. Over the years we have been involved in international contracts with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the Francophone Agency (OIF) in Paris, France, always with the goal of improving livelihoods and strengthening human capital in developing countries.

LearnSphere has brokered and managed a variety of international development projects, ranging from small to larger and more complex projects valued at more than $8 million. As part of our work at the international level, we have been involved in several projects taking us to over twenty (20) countries in Africa, Europe and the Caribbean.

Client: Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)
Date: February 2007 - March 2012

The FPTIC project, valued at $ 5.2 million, was designed to contribute to poverty reduction in Cameroon through the implementation of international development activities that focused on providing technical assistance in technical and vocational programming, human resource development, and planning for sustainability. LearnSphere was invited by CIDA to design and implement this project based on our solid experience in the management and execution of a highly successful simultaneous initiative of similar scope and complexity in the TVET sector in Cameroon. LearnSphere and the Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre in Mimboman (CPDBM), which is located in Yaoundé, Cameroon, joined as partners for the implementation of the FPTIC project. In the context of this partnership, LearnSphere Canada provided the technical assistance required to strengthen the capacity of the CPDBM to meet its needs in human resources development, particularly in the ICT sector, and to ensure the Centre’s overall viability and financial self-sufficiency.
